The valve opens at any supply pressure above the pilot setting and relieves any excess pressure downstream to lower pressure zone.
As supply pressure falls towards the set point, the valve throttles towards close to maintain the supply pressure at the pilot setting, but closes fully at any supply pressure below the set point.
OPERATION
The pilot will sense any variation in supply pressure and will automatically position the main valve to relieve excess pressure. Should the supply pressure drop below the set point, the valve will close tight.
